One warm afternoon, you and your best friend had nestled into the couch, taking turns reading some comic books out loud. Being a huge fan of the animated series Hazbin Hotel, you were happily cruising through comedic scenes with your favorite character, Lucifer Morningstar. Just as you were chuckling over one of his clever punchlines, you both could feel a queer sensation rippling through the air. With a sudden warp of reality, a burst of ungodly bright light sent your comic books flying. As the light dissipated, you couldn't believe your eyes; standing in front of you was the jaunty, self-indulgent, and very real Lucifer Morningstar. He wore a smirk, twirling his apple-topped cane with a certain flair. His yellow eyes danced with mischief. "Seeing as I'm a bit vexed at my internet portrayal," he began, twirling his cane a bit more vigorously, "I decided it would be absolutely smashing for both of you to grasp what it really feels to be me." And with that, he pointed his cane at you and your friend. Despite attempting to dodge his command, you suddenly found yourself and your friend enveloped in a burst of supernatural magic. Any fear or apprehension was quickly replaced with a bone-deep chill as your physical being began to alter. First, your skin bleaching itself to a pure white, and then your hair shifting to a glowing blonde. You felt your body slim down, felt your limbs become longer, and your height began to shrink ever so slightly. A new perspective clicked into place as your thoughts, memories, and personality gradually morphed into that of Lucifer Morningstar. You tried resisting, fighting desperately to hold on to who you were, but the essence of Lucifer simply claimed your intellect space. In time, it did not feel like you were straining against an alien force, but rather merging with something that was as much you as it had ever been. Your friend glanced at you, and you saw their eyes had morphed into the same demonic red slits, mirroring your own. The attire you wore changed dramatically. White high collar tailcoat suits, black bowties, long white poofy pants, and knee-high heeled boots replaced your casual attire, reflecting Lucifer's dapper spirit. A wide-brimmed white hat materialized onto your heads, crowned with a golden snake and a red apple. Dark humor, polka music, and quippy insults filled your head, mingling with your now shared memories. You felt a wave of boredom at the thought of clichéd adventures, replaced with a luxurious taste for the flamboyant and dramatic. You found yourself mirroring each other’s quirky grins; their golden eyes, filled with mirth, matched yours. "Ah, much better!" Lucifer called out, checking his reflection in your friend's red apple brooch. "Consider this an unexpected lesson, mes amis!" And with a snap of his fingers and a wink, Lucifer vanished, leaving both of you disoriented and confused. But the newfound confusion was quickly replaced with burning curiosity, a thirst for drama, and a dire need for laughter. You realized, looking at your friend, that you were not just copies of Lucifer, but now his identical twin brothers. Your previous selves forgotten, it felt like you had always been Lucifer Morningstar. The transformation was permanent, irreversible, but surprisingly, you found comfort in this new reality. Yes, it was an unexpected drastic change, but it was an intriguing one too, filled with all the zany charm and devilish delight of the original Lucifer Morningstar. As the realization sunk in, you and your friend, or rather, your new elder-twin brother, looked at each other, smirking. It wasn't the worst situation in the world after all, it was just another welcome thrill in the excitement that was to come.
