Question: Write a poem about being unwanted, and unloved, by the woman you hold so dear
In a kingdom of shadows, I ruefully dwell, The callous disregard of she, I loved so well. A heart once full, now a hollow well, I dance alone in this lonesome spell. Struck by the arrow from Cupid’s bow, In her garden of love, I yearned to grow. A love dreamed, in her eyes it shone, Now I am unwanted, wretched, and alone. Her perfume lingers, yet she is not near, The echoes and shadows of love, I fear. The sweetest rose, from thorns I bleed, From her garden of Eden, I’ve been freed. She was the melody in every song, Now the notes are bitter and strong. In her silence, my love feels wrong, An unseen ghost, where I don’t belong. But love, it’s a tale as old as time, Turned into a tragedy, an unspeakable crime. Yearning for a heart, not meant to be mine, Locked away within her sacred shrine. Chasing her light, yet I lay in the cold, In her love, I was just too bold. A story of my love, left untold, In her absence, the world is old. My love, a fire raging in the dead of night, Now a feeble ember, losing its light, I still see her in every star’s light, Yet she remains, out of love's sight. Yet, such is the fate of the broken-hearted, A journey of love, left disregarded. Hope dwindles, as the paths have parted, The dance of love, uncompleted, uncharted. Seek solace, oh heart, in nature's embrace, Let the winds of change wipe the bitter trace. Though love is a race, not everyone can ace, Unloved, yet cherish the memory of her face.
