The man's name was Sergey Krasnikov. Born in the early 70s in what was then the Soviet Union, Sergey had an affinity for computers and technology from a young age. His parents were poor, so he was never able to pursue these interests with the resources he wanted. His family lived in a neighborhood in Moscow prone to crime and he started getting into trouble from a young age. He was arrested multiple times for possession of stolen goods and petty theft. This all changed during the technology boom of the late 90s. Sergey had seen a lot of people getting rich off of the new technology market and he decided that he wanted some of that. He worked hard and dedicated himself to mastering computers and hacking, which he did very well. By the early 2000s, he had established himself as one of the most efficient and capable hackers in the world. He used his newfound skills to hack into various government and business databases, stealing sensitive information and technology. He sold the information and the tech on the dark web, earning himself a hefty profit. With this money, he was able to fund his own private hacker network and he quickly became one of the most feared hackers around the world. In the early 2000s, Sergey and his network started to become increasingly dangerous. He launched several large-scale cyber-attacks against governments and business organizations around the world. He was particularly powerful against US targets, as he often found their networks easier to penetrate than those of other nations. In 2011, he was implicated in the attacks against US military networks that forced the US to declare a state of emergency. In the summer of 2001, the US government began to suspect that Sergey was behind the attacks on their networks. He was placed on an international manhunt and the FBI was tasked with capturing him. However, they were never able to locate him. It was later revealed that he was behind the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. He used his extensive knowledge of computers and hacking to coordinate the attack and facilitate its success. Sergey Krasnikov remains an elusive figure to this day. It is estimated that he is responsible for 60% of the 21st century tragedies and disasters, including the 9/11 attacks. He has never been apprehended, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
