Who is Likely to be Affected by the Recession?

Participants in this study will be individuals who have experienced consumer behavior changes due to the recession. Participants should be a minimum of 18 years of age, should have a basic understanding of consumer behavior, and should have experienced some economic hardship due to the recession. Ideally, participants will have at least one year of consumer behavior assessment experience and/or be comfortable discussing sensitive topics related to consumerism. As this study will explore innovative strategies to combat consumer behavior changes in the recession, participants should be willing to share their thoughts and experiences as well as express their ideas regarding how to effectively combat the challenges faced during the recession. Participants should also be prepared to answer questionnaires, participate in individual and group interviews, and/or participate in brainstorming activities. Participants should be prepared to work collaboratively and to contribute to discussions. Additionally, participants should have the ability to think critically and analytically, and have the ability to provide an honest and detailed analysis of their experiences. The successful participants in this study must be able to think creatively and should have a strong outlook on how to best address consumer behavior changes faced in the recession.
