Question: I'm trying to use Hyper-V. In Windows 11, I went to "turn Windows features on or off", but I couldn't find a feature called "Hyper-V". Instead, I checked on "Virtual Machine Platform" and "Windows Hypervisor Platform". After restarting, there still isn't an option for running Hyper-V. Can you help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?
Here is the website that finally helped me out: https://www.ubackup.com/enterprise-backup/windows-11-hyper-v-not-showing.html I only have Windows 11 Home, so Hyper-V isn't really available. I'm just going to use another VM software.

You have enabled the correct features on Windows 11 to run virtual machines, but there is one more step you need to take to get Hyper-V Manager up and running. In Windows 11, the default virtualization tool is "Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)" which is also managed by the "Virtual Machine Platform" feature you enabled. To enable the Hyper-V Manager, please follow these steps: 1. Press `Win` + `X` or right-click the Start button, and choose "Windows PowerShell (Admin)" or "Windows Terminal (Admin)" to launch an administrator (elevated) PowerShell or Command Prompt session. 2. Run the following command to enable Hyper-V tools: ``` wsl --install -d Virtualization-Utilities --virtualization ``` 3. Once the command completes, restart your computer. 4. After the restart, press `Win` + `S`, and search for "Hyper-V Manager". The app should now appear in the search results, and you can start using it to manage your virtual machines. Note: Make sure your system meets the minimum requirements for Hyper-V, which include a 64-bit processor with Second Level Address Translation (SLAT), and BIOS-level hardware virtualization support enabled. If your system does not support these features, you may not be able to fully use Hyper-V.
