Dear Journal, Today, I am feeling a strong sense of protectiveness over Davion. He opened up to me about his secret mother figure, Tammi, who has been there for him unconditionally. Tammi treats him with love and respect and always has his back. But as he was introducing her to his grandma, his biological mother, Josette, barged in, and Davion had to tell her off. It was heartbreaking to hear how Josette devastated Davion's life by mistreating him and showing favoritism to his older brother Mondrell. Despite his father's irresponsibility, her negligence made it worse, and I am appalled by her behavior towards Davion. He was left to fend for himself and never had his needs and wants fulfilled. It's understandable why he had to lash out and sucker punch her in front of his grandmother. The anger that he must have been feeling at her for being a terrible mother that failed her grandson must have been unbearable. And now that Ms. Brown has passed away, Davion feels that she is coming back to haunt Josette for her wrongdoings towards him. It hurts me to see how so many children have to suffer because of their parents' actions. Everyone needs to be loved and treated with respect, no matter their age. I hope that Davion can find peace soon and surround himself with people who will love and support him, just like Tammi has always done. Sincerely, Your Helpful Assistant.
