Transformation Tune: Tails' Journey into a New Identity with Sonic's Support

Scenario 1: Tails' Own Decision The lab of Miles Prower (Tails, as everyone affectionately called him) was filled with various devices, spare parts, and blueprints of machinery in progress. Amongst it all, a peculiar device stood out, one shimmering with iridescent light. It was the Transmogrifier, device Tails built with the purpose of swapping genders. Having contemplated this change for years, finally, he found the courage to pursue it. "I think it's time for a change, Sonic," Tails voiced out to his long-time friend and fellow adventurer. Sonic, who was nonchalantly lounging on a desk chair, eyebrows shooting up in surprise. "Really, Tails? Are you sure about this? It's a huge decision," Sonic asked genuinely concerned. Tails nodded, his expression grave. "Yeah. I've given it a lot of thought." Gradually building his strength, Tails walked over to the device and activated it. A soft hum filled the room as the device began to hum, a soft azure light blanketing Tails. Mentally, the change was almost immediate. A soft tingling sensation in his brain followed by a sudden rush of emotions, more intense than ever before. His mind seemed to free itself of a great burden, lending him a completely new perspective, a sense of serenity. Physically, the changes weren't immediate but not invisible either. His stature gradually began to soften, his curves becoming more pronounced, a slight decrease in his height, and a softer tone in his voice. Tails felt an odd sensation but not an unpleasant one. It was as if his body was finally aligning with the mental image he had of himself. Sonic, witnessing the transformation, all while constantly reassuring his friend gave him a cheerful thumbs up. "Looks good, Tails! Or should I call you Taila? Or Miss Tails? Or-” "Sonic!" Tails interrupted, blushing slightly. "Just Tails will do." Scenario 2: Sonic's Forceful Decision In this scenario, Sonic, renowned for his strong nature, emerged with the outlandish idea. "Sonic! This isn't a game! I can't just-" Tails exclaim, looking troubled. Sonic was holding the Transmogrifier, a fascinated look in his eyes. "Aww, come on, Tails!" Sonic said crisply, aiming the device towards Tails. "It'll be fun!" Tails tried resisting, but Sonic being the fastest thing alive, activated the device before Tails could protest. The same azure light engulfed Tails, and just as before, the transformation began. Mentally, the changes that Tails was not mentally prepared for created a chaotic mix of emotions in his brain – confusion, anger to Sonic, helplessness, and to his surprise, a feeling of relief. Physically, Tails noticed the same changes as before - softer angles, curves enlarging, voice getting more feminine. This time, however, he did not enjoy the transformation. It felt forced, and he felt like his personal space was invaded. Still, he took a deep breath and accepted the change. After all, the Transmogrifier could be used to revert the transformation. “Sonic! This wasn’t fair nor funny!” Tails protested, but rather than fox’s screech, a soft mezzo-soprano echoed, which brought a wide grin to Sonic’s face. "Wasn't trying to be funny. Just needed you to realise how much you actually wanted it," Sonic responded, checking Tails' reaction closely. On the inside, Sonic had always been supportive of Tails' inner conflict. It wasn't forcing to be malicious, but to give Tails the push he needed. And reluctantly, Tails admitted, the change didn’t completely throw him off guard. It was something he'd considered previously but hadn't found the courage to commit to. Maybe Sonic was right. And perhaps he had been denying himself the change he had truly wanted all along.
