His upper-body attire consists of a white long-sleeved shirt with black squares on the elbows under an orange vest. From the waist down, he wears black shorts with yellow stripes on the sides, black ankle-socks, and orange shoes with black stripes. He carries detachable roller blades that allow him to instantly modify his shoes. He will often be seen with his backpack. He almost always carries his PET with him, and the later versions usually come with a pouch or a strap to carry it with. For Lan Hikari's personality, he is outgoing, headstrong, and has a strong sense of justice, though he is often lazy, often sleeping in causing him being late to prior engagements (even if he is the one who set them up), and is a poor student in school, much to Ms. Mari's frustration and despite MegaMan's nagging, though he has the highest grades in Virus Busting. Lan enjoys sports such as soccer and inline skating, which is shown in his preference to skate wherever he goes. He is shown to have a large appetite, often indulging when food is around. As an operator, Lan is able to concentrate in a way he cannot bring himself to do in other situations, and is quick to jump into action to save the day while others panic, even at his own risk. He has a keen sense of deduction, though he often has a simplistic way of looking at things. Despite his aptitude for Net Battling, Lan's ego and arrogance often lead to him making careless mistakes which sometimes put people he cares about in danger. His simple outlook on life also leads to several other problems, such as his emotional vulnerability, which has been exploited. Late in the third game, his vanity and then his trust are both abused in succession, and he is left believing that he is guilty for putting thousands of lives in danger, including his father's, causing him to fall into depression. When he finally arises, his worldview is tempered with a better understanding of evil. For Santa Claus's appearance (after Lan turned into him), he is a portly, jolly, white-bearded man, often with spectacles, wearing a red coat with white fur collar and cuffs, white-fur-cuffed red trousers, a red hat trimmed with white fur, a black leather belt and boots. During Christmas Eve, he carries a bag full of gifts for children. He is popularly associated with a deep, hearty laugh, frequently rendered in Christmas literature as "ho, ho, ho!". He is said to accomplish this with the aid of Christmas elves, who make the toys in his workshop, and with the aid of flying reindeer who pull his sleigh through the air. For Santa Claus's personality, he is naturally accepting of others, despite how the world sees or treats them, as evidenced by his friendship with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Santa saw through the initial shock of a glowing red nose and befriended Rudolph. He did something more powerful than just telling the other reindeer to “knock it off”: He asked Rudolph to lead the most important flight of every year and led to his immortalization in the history books of modern Christmas-tale. He’s social and outgoing. If he weren’t, how would he be able to put up with so many elves? Some reports estimate there are more than 85,000 elves. Who’s in charge of it all? Santa. While there’s surely some sort of hierarchy within the elf workforce, ultimately, Santa is the one who has to socialize with them all day, on top of his own responsibilities. When December rolls around, Santa has to carry on conversations with kids all around the world at virtually every moment of the day, which wouldn’t be possible without his extroverted qualities. He’s an idealistic dreamer, which is easily shown in his promise to visit all the children of the world in one night. That’s over 2 billion children in 195 countries… Santa is a radical optimist with a big heart. He sets his sights in the biggest dream and trusts that it will all work out. His idealism is matched by his unstoppable energy. When he’s not flying around the world, popping in and out of houses with gifts, he’s helping come up with new ideas for next year, meeting with elves to discuss logistics, and socializing with the reindeer. He’s been doing this for quite some time, and yet, his energy doesn’t seem to be faltering. Though, it is also possible that the sugar in all those cookies he eats on the night of Christmas Eve helps provide him with the buzzing vitality he needs for the next year. He is encouraging and supportive of children’s wishes. While the looming threat of a coal-stained stocking is likely enough to get children to behave, Santa accompanies it with love and encouragement, which is likely how he stays in their good graces, even while there’s an undertone of possible punishment (a system set up by the elves, of course). The story is that Lan Hikari somehow got sent to the North Pole, and he found a legendary sleigh owned by the legendary Santa Claus. Out of curiosity, Lan walks into the sleigh and sits on it, but strangely, he starts to feel tingly as he suddenly transforms into Saint Nick (Santa Claus) himself, even his personality and memories got completely replaced in a process, making him knew that he was always Santa Claus.
