The room is darker than any you've ever been in. Sporadic sparks fly from panels in the wall, but they do little to illuminate the pitch-black space. In that moment, the reality starts shifting. The room around you no longer resembles your own, rather, it’s reminiscent of a creepy backstage area from some twisted attraction. A cold chill flows through your massive, lanky, visible frame as the realization hits you. This doesn't feel like a dream anymore. The grinding sounds, the complete lack of warmth, and the sterile, inky darkness—it's all painfully real. In the corner of your now much larger and erratic field of vision, a dim light flickers on, casting long, warped shadows across numerous dust-caked animatronics. Mismatched parts lay scattered across the floor, some vaguely resembling figures you had known and loved growing up. There's Freddy, Bonnie... but they're just hollow shells now without their jovial, welcoming spirits. The reality is unpleasant, yet oddly... fitting, you think. Memories of your past life begin to fade, replaced by an all-consuming need to perform, to entertain, and abide by a pre-set routine. You recall your purpose.
