Once upon a time, there was a 6-year-old boy named Jason. Jason was given money by his 21-year-old mother, trusting him to buy his favorite toys from the local store. This was the first time Jason was shopping alone, and he was a bit quivery on his feet. The store was more massive than ever when devoid of mom's guiding hand, with towering aisles and bustling crowds. However, after roaming around a little, he finally found the toy he wanted. As Jason left the store contentedly with his new prized possession, he encountered a homeless woman named Eva. Eva was called 'Doll Eyes' by the townsfolk because of her captivating brown eyes that held stories of her daunting life. She was known for her signature style, always in a pink tank top, short shorts, and eye-catching leather wedges. She had a purse hanging over her shoulder adorned with a worn-out pair of sunglasses. Summoning Jason with her heart-rending voice, Eva said, "Hey hon, I'm sorry to bother you but do you have any more money? I'm just thirsty." Jason, unable to pass by someone in need, handed her a couple of extra coins he had. As Eva's hand brushed against his, Jason felt a strange, dizzy spell engulfing him before blacking out. When Jason reopened his eyes, the world seemed peculiarly brighter, and he realized he was wearing sunglasses. Feeling taller, he pulled off the glasses and looked down to see long, flowing brown hair and the pink and white outfit Eva was wearing earlier. A sense of horror dawned upon him. Gazing around, he found his reflection on a shiny surface and the hard truth hit him. He was in Eva's body! He spotted his own body, now possessed by Eva, jovially walking away in the distance, saying, "Have a nice day." The strange experience was quickly followed by a thirst. Jason rummaged through Eva's purse, hoping to find a bottle of water, but instead found a bottle of bitter whiskey. Innocence carried him forth as he took a big gulp of it, mistaking it for apple juice, only to spit it out and start coughing, "That juice tasted so icky!" Jason was terrified by the sound of his new feminine voice. He rested his hands on his leather wedged feet, disconcerted by their girly appearance. Jason pulled the wedges off, shoving them in the purse as he began to nervously walk around in his new adult form. In front of a mirror, Jason stared back at his brown-eyed feminine reflection. Opening his mouth in shock and fear, he noticed some of Eva's teeth were missing. He sighed, uttered dismayingly, "I don't wanna be a girl. Ew! Gross!"—his innocent voice now sounding ladylike. Despite the shock and disgust, Jason knew he had to move. He grabbed the wedges and put them back on, a grunt escaping his abruptly feminine mouth as he cringed at how girly the shoes were. He unsteadily stood up, slinging the purse over his shoulder, and donned Eva's sunglasses to protect from the relentless sun. Walking down the street, Jason tried to adjust to his new body, stumbling a bit in the wedges. He muttered, "I'm really gonna miss my mommy the most if I'm stuck as a grownup and an icky girl forever." He sat down, stretched out his legs, once again cringing at the sight of the wedges. Feeling a pang of hunger, Jason discovered some coins in the purse. He decided to go back to the store for a candy bar and soda—a small comfort in this new world. As he slurped his soda while munching on the bar, he looked in the mirror—his sunglasses covered female face made his heart sink, and silent tears rolled down his cheeks. As the sun lowered and the night was closing in, Jason took off his sunglasses. The streets were too dim for his liking, each shadow seeming more ominous than the last. He walked into an alleyway to escape some of the fear and sat down. He cried, mumbling, "I miss mommy so much. It's so dark and scary. So many monsters. I wanna go home." He caught the sight of his feminine hands, the wedges, the locks of brown curls falling over his new face, and his heart pounded more vigorously. He curled up in a ball, shut his feminine eyes tight as he tried to escape from his new reality. Little did he know it was more than reality—it was permanence. Jason was stuck in Eva's body forever, relinquishing the innocence and simplicity of his previous life for an uncertain, complex existence in the body of a homeless woman.
