Question: I really like this guy, his name is Fernando. I work with him. He followed me in social media and we started talking outside of just work m. We talk every night until 3 a.m. and he always texts me good morning. He is 25 years old and I’m 18 years old, to others it might seem like a big age gap but I don’t know what to think about it. Over the past few days he’s told me that he really likes working with me and that he wants to talk to me more at work. Sometimes I just want to cut him off because I start to feel like I want a relationship with him and I don’t know that it would even happen because my dad is his boss and also my boss. Fernando’s uncle also works there and I don’t think even he knows that me and Fernando like eachother. I really like this guy Fernando and today he told me I was the most beautiful girl he’s ever laid eyes on. He always knows what to say and always makes me feel happy. But there is also a language barrier. He only speaks Spanish, I speak Spanish but not nearly as much as he does. But I can understand him 90% of the time. He makes me happy, but I don’t know if it’s just a crush or something more. Sometimes I just want to grab him by the face and kiss him, or when I see him just hug him. I want to be with Fernando all the time, but I don’t know how to bring that up to him. What should I do?

It's great that you've developed a connection with Fernando, and it's important to consider your feelings as well as any potential consequences before taking any action. Here are a few steps to help you navigate the situation: 1. Assess your feelings: Take some time to reflect on your feelings and determine whether they are genuine, and if you're ready for a relationship, or if it's more of a fleeting crush. 2. Consider the potential consequences: If you were to pursue a relationship with Fernando, think about how it might affect your work environment and relations with your dad and Fernando's uncle. Evaluate whether this relationship's potential positives and challenges are worth pursuing. 3. Communicate with Fernando: If after reflecting on your feelings and the potential consequences you still feel strongly about pursuing a relationship, talk with Fernando. Share your thoughts and concerns, and ask about his feelings and intentions. Remember that communication is critical in any relationship. 4. Language barrier: If you decide to pursue a relationship with Fernando, consider working on improving your Spanish skills, and encourage him to work on his English (if he's open to it). This would not only help in communication but also demonstrate your commitment to each other. 5. Develop a plan: If both of you decide to move forward with a relationship, discuss how you will handle the work situation and any potential reactions from your family members, particularly your dad. It's essential to think carefully about the situation and make a decision that feels right for both of you. Take your time, and remember that it's always best to be honest with yourself and your potential partner. Good luck!
