Seth's Mom Switches Bodies With Him

Once upon a time, in a quiet suburban neighborhood, lived an 18-year-old boy named Seth. There was nothing supernatural or otherworldly about Seth – he was an earnest and straightforward lad who enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend Jade. He was getting ready to take Jade to see the latest blockbuster at the local cinema, and he was palpably excited about it. His mother, Diane, a single woman of 49, was also preparing to go out for her usual night out with friends. Diane was a character herself. She pursued the youth she had lost, often going to the bar and club with her friends. As she applied the last stroke of mascara, fastened her most expensive earrings, and stepped into her platform sandals, a curious idea struck her. She called out to her son, and asked for a quick hug before they respectively head out for their fun nights. Seth, anxious not to keep Jade waiting, quickly obliged. But as he hugged his mother, Seth experienced an odd sensation. He became dizzy, his vision blurred, and consciousness slipped away from him. When he finally came to, he found himself sitting down. As he tried to stand up, he felt his balance betray him, tumbling back into the chair. He was surprised to find his mother's platform sandals on his feet. Looking down, he found himself in his mother's body. "Mom! What have you done?" He screamed, his voice sounding eerily similar to Diane's. His mother, visibly unfazed, admitted she had been studying ways to regain her youth, and she figured swapping bodies with Seth was her best option. "But mom, Jade is waiting for me. She's my girlfriend and I want to be with her," Seth pleaded, only to be met with Diane's stern resolve. She assured him that they would never switch bodies again, and as she walked up to him, gripped his head, his memories began to fade and shift until they were replaced with those of his mother's. Seth, now resigned to Diane's body, was left dizzy and confused. He vaguely remembered dressing up and calling Seth, but the rest was a blur. "I have a memory of not knowing how to walk in platforms but that's silly cause I bought these shoes," he mumbled to himself. Resigned to his fate, he wished a mild-mannered Seth, now in his own body, a fun night ahead. Thus, the rest of their lives saw Diane gleefully residing in her son's youthful body, experiencing the adventures she had yearned for. On the other hand, Seth, convinced he had always been Diane, carried on oblivious to his old life. Diane's body, her memories and her life had become his, and he remembered nothing of Seth, the boy he used to be.
