My Worst Nightmare Comes True

I quickly regain control of myself and stumble back in shock. I take a deep breath and apologize to Sonic and Tails for my lack of control. Sonic and Tails both give me a look of understanding and forgiveness, before Sonic walks up to me and places his hand reassuringly on my shoulder. "It's ok. We understand," Sonic says in a calming voice. "We understand how it feels to lose control. You just need to take a moment, and remember that you have the power to take charge of your own emotions and actions. That's why you need to stay in control. That way, you can make sure everyone around you is safe." I take his words to heart and silently nod in agreement. I'm thankful that Sonic and Tails were so understanding and accepting of my out of control behavior, and it helps me to keep myself in check. I take a few more deep breaths and slowly nod, signaling that I'm ready. Sonic and Tails both smile back at me and we continue our journey.
