Two identical heads sat atop her slender neck, a kaleidoscope of emotions flashed simultaneously across both faces. Megumi's quirk, known as Duet, had given her four arm appendages since birth, along with her double heads. It made for a comical sight; she often joked that she was her own best friend. But beneath her cheerful demeanor lay an extraordinary power. Through the process akin to mitosis, Megumi could create multiple clones of herself, splitting into identical versions of herself, each sharing her unique appearance and connected through a hive mind. However, this cloning drained her stamina; the more duplicates she created, the weaker she got. Megumi had just received news of her acceptance at UA High School, a prestigious institution for teenage superheroes. The excitement coursed through her, but with it came nervousness, especially since Toshiro, the boy she had a crush on since middle school, was in the same class as her. As the introducing day arrived, Megumi waited anxiously for her turn to present her quirk. Nightmares of floundering in front of her classmates plagued her thoughts. This small reaction bolstered her confidence. Steeling herself, Megumi started multiplying. One turned into two, two into four, and soon she had created about five copies of herself standing in a semicircle. They all had identical smiles on their double faces. As expected, a collective gasp escaped the spectators, marred with words of chagrin or amazement. However, all Megumi cared was about one reaction. She glanced nervously at Toshiro. To her relief, his eyes twinkled with astonishment and a flicker of admiration. It was going to be a long journey through UA, but for the first day, Megumi thought she did alright.
