Once upon a time, in a quiet suburb lived a woman named Morgan. At 40 years old, she was a mother of two and a very responsible person, always putting her family first. Also in her daily to-do list was her 35-year-old sister Wendy's kids. Mental illness had all but stolen Wendy's chances of being a mother for her children, so Morgan, dutiful as ever, stepped in. One sunny afternoon, Wendy showed up at Morgan's doorstep, determination stemming from desperation apparent on her face. She had come to take back her kids, adamant in her belief that she was stable enough to do so. Morgan tried reasoning with her, telling her it wasn't the right time yet, but Wendy wouldn’t hear it. A heated argument ensued, with Wendy's mental stability becoming more apparent by the second, forcing Morgan to ask her husband to call the police. In a sudden twist of events, Wendy pulled out a strange device from her pockets. Morgan made a feeble attempt to snatch it away but the device went off, bathing them in an eerie bright light.
