But the turning point arrived during an encounter at the Cooper villa where Sly intentionally slipped and almost got caught. Carmelita, hesitant at first, saw an opening and took the chance. An adrenaline rush washed over her as she lunged for Sly, who barely made it out in time, leaving behind a piece of his mask. He could see the spark in her eye and knew his scheme had worked. From then on, Carmelita regained her confidence and dedication, even throwing in a couple of surprises that kept Sly on his toes. Seeing Carmelita back in her element was invigorating for Sly.
