Ashido, a cheerful soul known fondly for her unusual pink skin and quirk called "Acid," was a dear friend and Hatsume's trusted confidante. Her supportive nature deemed her the perfect friend to approach with Hatsume's latest invention. "It's very innovative, Hatsume. But are you sure it’s safe?" Ashido asked as her eyes met the small capsules that Hatsume had triumphantly laid out on her workplace. "There's only one way to find out," Hatsume simply replied, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes that Ashido knew all too well. With a sigh and a lot of trust, Ashido took a pill. From that day forward, every time she received a compliment, whether for her heroics, her outfits, or her cheeky sense of humour, her butt would hilariously expand. As did the butt of any other girl in her vicinity. As word got around, girls from U.A. High School began to avoid compliments. And, naturally, avoid Ashido. But she found it all too amusing and began to leverage it instead. The girls learned to tackle situations without compliments as ego-boost. They realized that their work and self-worth did not rely on praises alone. And soon, it became a part of the school's culture. Hatsume, seeing the unease yet growth it brought among the girls, understood the gap in her invention. Although funny and quirky like the city they lived in, it wasn't wholly practical or conducive in all scenarios. She decided to make improvements. With Ashido’s support and feedback, Hatsume finally developed a more refined pill. This time, it did not cause funny side effects but instead released a warming feeling of confidence with every compliment received. This feeling, rather than a visual change, was shared with every girl in the vicinity, providing a more positive and empowering effect.
