Her mother, a hardworking 24-year-old who named her Kylie, had given her a few dollars and asked her to pick up a drink from the local Rite Aid. With the money safely tucked in her tiny hand, Kylie set off for Rite Aid with a sense of trepidation and wonder. Nothing could have prepared her for what awaited her. When Kylie grabbed the drink she wanted and exited the store, she was immediately intercepted by a woman named Tina; also known as Tiny Tot due to her height of just 5 ft. Tiny Tot, a homeless 36- year-old woman, had wavy brown hair cascading down to her shoulders. Her uniqueness lied not just in her diminutive stature but also in her interesting choice of clothes that included a crop top, short shorts, and leather wedges. She also carried a purse on her shoulder and donned a pink baseball cap along with a pair of sunglasses. Tiny Tot approached Kylie with a slow saunter, bending down to her level to ask in a gentle and calm voice if the tiny girl had a spare penny. Kylie, consumed by nervousness but aiming to be polite, denied having any coins but offered her drink instead. She quickly discovered a pair of sunglasses on her face and a hat on her head. She gazed downwards to see a comic reflection bedecked in a crop top, short shorts, and leather wedges. Going through her purse, she was aghast to find items like cigarettes, a lighter, tampons, pads, and bear spray, things she had only seen her elder sister handle. "Ugh! Cigarettes are icky," she declared in a voice drastically older and deeper than hers; she was gravely flustered, feeling the adult shoes a huge leap from her ordinary life. Tina, who was now trapped in Kylie's body, urged Kylie to accept her new older self, revealing the harsh realities of her homeless life. Kylie quivered at the thought of being older than her own mom, with the gradual shift in her memories morphing her childhood into a vague, distant memory. Meanwhile, the new, younger Tina, was caught off guard by her transition and frantically rummaged her purse for the missing hat, purse and sunglasses while lamenting about being "barefoot" and "vulnerable". She winced as the pavement burned her feet and immediately retrieved her wedges as she spotted them nearby, adorning her feet swiftly. Going through her purse, she put on her missing cap and sunglasses. While the new Tina, who was really Kylie, frowned at her reflection and scorned herself for the predicament, she was also comforted by her possession of the bear spray in case of unforeseen danger. She then started walking down the road, clutching her purse tightly on her shoulder, forever under the illusion of being a 36-year-old homeless woman named Tina.
