In the mid-1900s, the Allison Corporation, a pioneer technology organization, made a groundbreaking discovery: time travel. Their invention, the Temporal Displacement Module (TDM), was capable of reaching as far back as the Mesozoic era. Simultaneously, a brilliant but eccentric scientist named Dr. Ian Harroway had long been fascinated with prehistoric creatures. His growing obsession with Velociraptors, a species known to be fully feathered, lacking any shrink-wrapping, possessing supinated wrists rather than pronated wrists, and were opportunistic carnivores much like modern coyotes and Komodo dragons, had him convincing the corporation to use the TDM to bring back a pair of these magnificent predators to the present day for ecological and behavioral study. The unexpected introduction of these creatures from the past shaped an alternate reality for southwestern North America in the 20th century onwards, something akin to Jurassic Park, only without the fences.
