My heart aches with sorrow and grief, My Granny, who I so briefly knew, Unable to get help when in need, My dad, who seemed so uninvolved, so far removed. The moment that he chose to ignore, My Grandma, the one I never knew, Sleeping with coldness to the core, My family's story so very few. The love she once gave, now gone, Meant nothing to him that day, How could he act so nonchalant, As my Granny fades away. I cry and grieve in this sad state, My Grandma's love will never again be, For a man to ignore, and have no empathy, My heart will struggle to ever see.
