How Brittany became a 30 year old woman

Once upon a time in the busy, bustling city, lived a curious 7-year-old boy named Sammy. His 27-year-old mom, a strong independent woman, gave him a handful of money and sent him to the sprawling city mall alone. As Sammy ventured into this new landmark, his eyes sparkled at the sight of the hundreds of shops. Without a second thought, his attention was lured to a shoe store. Inside, the store bloomed like a rainbow of shoes, each one more fascinating than the last. After a bit of a walk, Sammy saw a section for boys his age which he excitedly approached. However, before he could reach it, he ran into a woman. She was tall, perhaps around thirty, and wore an easy, warm smile on her face. Sammy learned that her name was Brittany, a mother of two, currently knee-deep in various types of footwear - heels, wedges, and thong sandals. Sammy nervously apologized and continued on his way, but Brittany caught him by his shoulders, her grip firm and unyielding. What followed was strange and terrifying - Sammy's feet began to grow, exploding out of his own shoes and morphing into Brittany's bare feet, even bearing the same toenail polish. Fear gripping him, Sammy implored Brittany to let him go. But Brittany just laughed, mentioning something about how nice it would be to have a clone to help with her daughters. As Sammy felt his lower body, arms, and then his head, morph into those of Brittany's. The tattoos of roses and daisies that Brittany had on her own legs also appeared on his now-transformed body. Even her daughter's initials tattooed on her wrists also appeared on his now adult-like wrists. A ring materialized on Sammy's finger; Brittany's wedding ring. As he opened his mouth to protest, his voice too had changed, sounding eerily like Brittany's. Brittany took one more moment to overwrite Sammy's own memories with her own. Confusion danced in Sammy's mind, as faces, places, emotions shifted and realigned, he was no longer sure who he was anymore. His resistant cries slipped into assertive sentences akin to Brittany's: "Unhand me, Brittany! This is highly inappropriate. I need to take care of my daughters!" his newly matured voice declared. Freed from the bizarre spell, Sammy — or rather, the new Brittany — picked up a pair of heels and slipped them on like second skin. The 'real' Brittany looked satisfied, a new clone navigating the whims of her life while she enjoyed an unburdened existence. The new Brittany, still chiding the original for her reckless behavior, strode over to a mirror, admiring her new reflection and validation for her appearance. "I'm really good looking for 30. Proud to say I've managed to have 2 kids and deal with an annoying husband and I still look young," she declared, before prancing over to the kids section that she now believed were hers. Thanks to the overwriting of her memories, Sammy was no more, there was only the echo of Brittany — the vibrant, 30-year-old mother of two, ready to take on the world with the heart of a lioness.
