Gremlins: The Haunted Maze

Concept: "Gremlins: Midnight Madness" The visitors enter the attraction known as the "Kingston Falls," named after the film’s suburban locale, immediately transporting them into scenes straight from the 1984 movie "Gremlins." This haunted maze attraction, however, distorts the family-friendly comedy horror into a shocking and grim journey, depicting a darker parallel universe where the Gremlins' mischievous pranks turn deadly, and the once charming and mischievous Gizmo now morphs into a terrifying, demonic creature. SCRIPT: (Scene 1: Peltzer's Novelty Store) - As the guests enter, assistant #1 will narrate, "Welcome, explorers, to the old, dusty Peltzer's store. Beware! The strange and unique oddities here come to life under the cloak of darkness. Remember, with great curiosity comes great danger!" Guests witness an animatronic Gizmo pop up from behind the counter. (Scene 2: Gizmo's Rules) - Assistant #2 warns as they proceed, "Remember the rules: avoid bright light, don't get them wet, and never, ever feed them after midnight…" As the guests pass a scene where water knocks over on Gizmo, revealing multiple fuzzy Mogwai springing to life. (Scene 3: Midnight Mayhem) - Assistant #3, in a panicked voice, narrates, “Oh no! It’s after midnight and the Mogwais are feeding!” Guests enter a dimly lit kitchen where Gremlins devour food and become gruesome, larger, reptile-like Gremlins. With each flash of lightning, they witness the transformation. (Scene 4: The Gremlin Infestation) - As visitors approach, assistant #4 states ominously, "Kingston Falls is overrun! Can you survive the mayhem?" Guests walk through fog-filled streets with Gremlins popping out from hidden corners, with eerie laughter echoing around. (Scene 5: Movie Theatre Madness) - Assistant #5 narrates, "Looks like the Gremlins have taken over the theatre! Are you ready for their gruesome show?" Guests walk into a makeshift theater where Gremlins jump out from the darkness, their shadows mimicking movie scenes on screen. (Scene 6: Final Encounter with Demonic Gizmo) - Finally, assistant #6 exclaims, “Face your fears! It’s time for the final act!" Guests walk into a dramatic scene where a demonic Gizmo controls a horde of Gremlins in a raucous frenzy. (Scene 7: The Escape) - Assistant #6 concludes, "If you're hearing this, you've survived! But remember, there’s a Gremlin's shadow lurking around every corner!" As guests prepare to depart, a few final "jump scares" wait around the corner. The attraction's full circle narrative and unexpected jump scares create an adrenaline-fueled experience that perfectly marries the original "Gremlins" humor with a modern nightmarish twist.
