Question: Write a POV transformation story of an average male human reader turning into a male mermaid complete with a mermaid's necklace, a fish tail (instead of human legs), both gills and lungs, fish-like fins instead of ears, thin and lean yet athletic body, handsome and ethereal-looking face, no facial hair on the lower half of his face (he keeps his eyelashes and eyebrows however), pale skin, beautifully-colored irises in his eyes, and long hair complete with age change, supernatural powers gain (including but not limited to being immortal and forever youthful), language shift (changing from English to an mermaid's language, yet the reader now completely understood this new language whilst no longer remembering English), reality change (the reader's real world warping and becoming the fantasy medieval world filled with mythical creatures, more specifically, in an ocean since he's a mermaid now), and mind/mental change (with the reader's personality and memories replaced with an mermaid's personality and memories, despite his best efforts on fighting off the new memories and personality, making him completely forget about being a mortal human and only remember being an mermaid). The transformation is permanent (meaning it is forever) and is completely irreversible. The story is that the reader was visiting a museum containing very old books and other historical artifacts, where the reader finds a book that is all about medieval fantasy creatures, he then opens the book, causing the blinding light to engulf him and thus caused the whole transformation to occur. During the mental changes, the reader is truly terrified/horrified about losing his own memories and personality as a human (as well as completely forgetting his previous language, with English instantly changing to an mermaid's language during mid-sentence), so he tries to fight against the new memories and personality (even screaming for help from his family/friends, crying out in tears, as well as attempting to shake his head as an attempt to get rid of the emerging/invading elven memories/personality), but his mental fight is in vain, making him completely forget his mortal and mundane human life and he only remembers being a medieval-era mermaid (complete with a new name fitting for a mermaid, rather than an old human name he once remembered having), having remembered his archery training, war with sea witches, marriage to a mermaid woman, and himself being a mermaid. To aid in the now-mermaid reader's transforming mind, the mermaid elf from a nearby undersea kingdom (who caused the book to transport the reader into a medieval world and transformed into an mermaid himself) comes up to the reader and comforts him with a gentle hug, softly holding the transforming reader's hands, an affectionate true love's kiss, quietly singing an elven lullaby to the reader, and telling him to remember who he really is (an mermaid), making the reader realize that the mermaid woman comforting him is his caring, understanding, and loving wife (whom the mermaid reader truly loves, cares, and understands, having always known her), and the reader is genuinely happy to know that his previous human life was actually only a dream (he is completely unaware of ever being a mortal/human nor the transformation that had happened) and is happy that his life as an mermaid (he enjoys being with his mermaid wife, whom he married centuries ago) is his only true life. There should also be quotes from the characters in this story so we know what they're saying and what they're thinking. Not only that, but there should be quotes in mermaid's language (as well as the translations for those who don't know what those mermaid's words mean), even the reader's language shift during his panic. Also, it is a POV reader story, so it should not be in an author's point of view (my, I, mine, etc), and it should be from the point of view of the reader (you, your, etc).
You've always had an insatiable curiosity about history and mythology, so when you step into the museum housing age-old relics and ancient manuscripts, your heart flutters in anticipation. One particular book, its cover showing an intricate design of mythical sea creatures, catches your attention. As you cautiously open it, a blinding light engulfs you, soaking your senses in a surreal incandescence. As your vision clears, the first thing that strikes you is a sense of coolness around your lower body. Looking down, where your legs once sprawled comfortably, a magnificent fish tail now coils itself, shimmering in hues of blue and green with every subtle twitch. Alarmed, you reach for your ears, which now feel strangely soft and fluttery, much like - are those... fins? Suddenly, something cold drops onto your chest, a necklace adorned with different sea treasures now hanging around your neck - a visible confirmation of your transformation into a handsome, lean, yet athletically built male mermaid. In the mirror—an object that oddly still exists despite your undersea environment—your once ordinary face has metamorphosed into an ethereal visage. The realization floods over you: you're not a human anymore. Before your panic even subsides, something inexplicable happens – your thoughts start to alter, language unlearned and learned anew in the blink of an eye. You gasp, a bizarre sensation gripping you as your gills take in water, allowing you to breathe. The words leaving your mouth are foreign, yet you understand them clearly, your previous knowledge of English now a distant dream. "Thei naka!" You gasp, the mermaid's language flowing effortlessly from your lips. *What's happening?* A melancholic sense of dread sweeps through you as your human memories start to fade, being gradually replaced by new, vivid memories of a life spent in these deep waters. Fear skulks its way into your heart as the once familiar faces of your family and friends start to blur, replaced by an array of mystical underwater beings. Despite your best efforts to retain your human persona and memories, they are rapidly fading, like a dream dissipating at dawn. At the peak of your panic, a comforting presence draws near. She is beautiful and radiates a certain warmth that oddly soothes your anxiety. She whispers something, words formed in your new tongue. "Vola atura, Ethelion." *Calm down, Ethelion*. Her touch is familiar, her voice more so, and despite your rapidly fading memories, you remember her - your wife. The realization is both comforting and terrifying. All your efforts to resist this unyielding transformation yield under her familiar touch, as you offer one last futile resistance against the encroaching new persona. Finally, the last pieces of your human existence dissolve, replaced entirely by your existence as Ethelion, your life as a human nothing more than a fleeting memory. It astounds you how swiftly you accept the change when you're in her arms. She hums a nostalgic melody, an elven lullaby that puts your racing thoughts at ease, and for the first time since your transformation, you genuinely smile. "Salae." *Home*. The word slips effortlessly from your lips, as you return her comforting embrace. As Ethelion, the ageless merman, the fantasy medieval world deep under the ocean teems with life around you. Everything feels right, as if you've always belonged here. Your human life was, perhaps, just a dream, and this, your true destiny.
