Question: Rate this essay Champions aren't made in a day, and neither are failures. Whatever you become in life is a succession of what you applied knowledge gained from past experiences. I am writing this at-home timed essay because I completed unit 6, which prepared me to be comprehensively fitted out for this essay. Similarly, life trains us to fight the battles which are awaited by tomorrow, that is if we are willing to learn from them. Life gradually equips us with the resources required to critically think and comprehend the basics of handling complicated situations. For example: when I was little, I had an ominous accident while running up the stairs which resulted in a broken nose and 3 months of bed rest. After that life-altercating experience, I am extremely cautious while walking up the stairs. Apart from this physical experience, when I was young I cared too much about what the people around me thought and this turned me into a people pleaser who was always looking for validation from those around him but as I grew up, I learned that you should always be your own priority in life. The people you are afraid to lose will be lost somewhere far beyond your reach, and the times you try so hard to preserve by imprinting them in your camera roll will be left behind in the hazy past, left somewhere in an indefinite place which can neither be captured nor be caught a glimpse of. What I learned from these inculcating experiences is to enjoy the times and the people in those time while you still have the chance, a chance to cherish the present before it becomes the past. A lot of events pass by us every single day and each and every moment has some lesson to offer but the question is, are you willing to learn as much as you can? My late grandfather used to say, “ I will always choose to be a loser who learnt his mistake over a winner who just got lucky” and I always try to remember this while I'm stuck in an unfavourable situation. The lessons learnt from our adolescence provides stability to our emotional and physical attributes which contributes to the art of being mature.
Life is a process of becoming and growing. Ultimately, life is a series of lessons, and it is up to us whether to learn them and be prepared or get lost in the fog of misfortunes. I would give this essay 8/10. It is well written and well organized, conveying a meaningful message. You provide several examples to illustrate your points and make sure to connect them back to the main idea. You also provide a personal perspective which gives readers a sense of insight. The language is also quite sophisticated and the essay flows nicely. However, a few more details about the lessons you learned from your experiences could have been included to provide more depth to your writing.
