Question: Write a POV transformation story of an average male human reader turning into a male mermaid complete with a mermaid's necklace, a fish tail (instead of human legs), both gills and lungs, fish-like fins instead of ears, thin and lean yet athletic body, handsome and ethereal-looking face, no facial hair on the lower half of his face (he keeps his eyelashes and eyebrows however), pale skin, beautifully-colored irises in his eyes, and long hair complete with age change, supernatural powers gain (including but not limited to being immortal and forever youthful, as well as being able to swim with his newfound tail effortlessly), language shift (changing from English to an mermaid's language, yet the reader now completely understood this new language whilst no longer remembering English), reality change (the reader's real world warping and becoming the fantasy medieval world filled with mythical creatures, more specifically, in an ocean since he's a mermaid now), and mind/mental change (with the reader's personality and memories replaced with an mermaid's personality and memories, despite his best efforts on fighting off the new memories and personality, making him completely forget about being a mortal human and only remember being an mermaid). The transformation is permanent (meaning it is forever) and is completely irreversible. The story is that the reader was visiting a museum containing very old books and other historical artifacts, where the reader finds a book that is all about medieval fantasy creatures, he then opens the book, causing the blinding light to engulf him and thus caused the whole transformation to occur. During the mental changes, the reader is truly terrified/horrified about losing his own memories and personality as a human (as well as completely forgetting his previous language, with English instantly changing to an mermaid's language during mid-sentence), so he tries to fight against the new memories and personality (even screaming for help from his family/friends, crying out in tears, as well as attempting to shake his head as an attempt to get rid of the emerging/invading elven memories/personality), but his mental fight is in vain, making him completely forget his mortal and mundane human life and he only remembers being a medieval-era mermaid (complete with a new name fitting for a mermaid, rather than an old human name he once remembered having), having remembered his training with his own trident, on war with sea witches, marriage to a mermaid woman, and himself being a mermaid. To aid in the now-mermaid reader's transforming mind, the mermaid elf from a nearby undersea kingdom (who caused the book to transport the reader into a medieval world and transformed into an mermaid himself) comes up to the reader and comforts him with a gentle hug, softly holding the transforming reader's hands, an affectionate true love's kiss, quietly singing an elven lullaby to the reader, and telling him to remember who he really is (an mermaid), making the reader realize that the mermaid woman comforting him is his caring, understanding, and loving wife (whom the mermaid reader truly loves, cares, and understands, having always known her), and the reader is genuinely happy to know that his previous human life was actually only a dream (he is completely unaware of ever being a mortal/human nor the transformation that had happened) and is happy that his life as an mermaid (he enjoys being with his mermaid wife, whom he married centuries ago) is his only true life. There should also be quotes from the characters in this story so we know what they're saying and what they're thinking. Not only that, but there should be quotes in mermaid's language (as well as the translations for those who don't know what those mermaid's words mean), even the reader's language shift during his panic, as well as the lyrics to the lullaby that the elf woman is quietly singing to the transforming reader, so we would know what lullaby the reader is hearing/listening to. Also, it is a POV reader story, so it should not be in an author's point of view (my, I, mine, etc), and it should be from the point of view of the reader (you, your, etc).

As you wrap your knitted sweater tighter around your linear, average body, you approach the rustic wooden door of the local museum. With an air of trepidation, you step inside, curious, unaware that this museum visit will change the course of your life forever. Walking past displays of dust-laden artifacts, your eyes land on old, faded books adorned with gold and silver leaf behind a large glass case. One book particularly piques your curiosity, a leather-bound anthology seeming to contain tales of medieval fantasy creatures; amongst which the legend of mermaids sparkles above all. Guided by an inexplicable gravitation towards it, you bravely ask the old museum curator the book's story. He smiles wistfully, placing the book gently in your hands and muttering an ancient phrase, "*Eelanelya*." Unaware it translates to 'open it' in the merfolk tongue of *Nenya*, you obey. Suddenly, a bright, mystifying light engulfs your senses. You feel your body changing, attuning itself to a rhythm unfamiliar yet oddly comforting. As the light fades, a searing pain engulfs your body; you glance down to what used to be your human legs and witness them seamlessly melding into a stunning tail, adorned with shiny, ocean-blue scales. You gasp for air but quickly realise you can breathe easily despite the lack of oxygen; the gills forming on your neck are functioning perfectly. Your body's transformation doesn't stop there, though. As your face contorts and rearranges, you feel your ears elongating into fin-like structures, your body undergoing a peculiar weight-loss leaving you lean, yet athletic. Your previously unremarkable human face is now ethereal and handsome; your skin has a glowing, alluring pallor and when you reach to touch your face, rough 5 o'clock shadow has vanished, replaced with a sea-kissed smoothness. Your transformation continues, a beautifully etched necklace made out of seashells appears around your neck signalling your new identity. Your now vibrant irises reflect the colors of the ocean depths; the deepest blues and greens. Touching your hair, you realise it's now long, flowing like silk, further cementing your dreamlike appearance. Yet, your physical transformation is not what scares you most. What terrifies you is the way your thoughts begin to feel alien. In mid-sentence, your thoughts shift from English to a fluid, sophisticated and alien language. Panic surges through you as you try to recall your English language skills but it's all replaced by the language of the merfolk. Stunned, you struggle to keep hold of your human memories, which slowly start to evade your grasp. Your memories are replaced with new ones; memories of the depths of the ocean, castle ruins, trident training, and a battle with sea witches. You cry out for your family, your friends. But the more you struggle to remember, the more these memories seem to fade, replaced by laughter with your mer-kin, hunting with spears, singing with the whales, and a woman. Suddenly, a gentle voice interrupts your turbulent horror. "*Eshtanya, ne llo naa*,” it whispers. You now understand it means, "Fear not, you are home." Instinctively, you look and find a beautiful mermaid approaching. She smiles at you, eyes full of recognition and warmth. She gently wraps her arms around you in an embrace, as if to hold your frantic escape from this surreal reality at bay. "Listen, my love," she murmurs, calming your racing heart, "Remember who you are. You are mine, and I am yours." She sings softly, a lullaby that feels so familiar and comforting. "*Eayaana Eanari,*"she hums. You now know she's singing, "Beyond the seas and stars." In her embrace, you're reminded of love professed underneath the moonlight, vows exchanged, a commitment solidified. This beautiful creature is your wife, and you realize, you've always known her. You are not losing yourself, but finding a part of you, you've always been. Your panic subsides; your reality has been reshaped, your understanding of yourself rewritten. The fear of losing your human identity starts to fade, replaced with the joy and happiness in living as your true self - a merman. With a newfound acceptance, you forget what it was like to be human; your former life seems like a strange, distant dream compared to the vivid reality of your life under the sea. You have been reborn, and with your wife by your side, you embrace your true self, ready to live your new immortal and forever youthful life, as a merman.
