However, her superhero instincts immediately told her this was no hardened criminal she was facing. His shaking hands, his sweaty face, the nervous darting of his eyes - the young man wreaking havoc was certainly a novice. Instead of summoning her Canary Cry, she chose a different route - to surrender. Dinah played the stereotypical damsel-in-distress flawlessly -hands raised, lips trembling, eyes wide with the right amount of fear. Offering herself as a temporary hostage, she suggested, "Maybe you should tie me up, keep me out of the way?" The novice crook complied, using the only items at his disposal - a mismatched collection of tights and long socks found strewn about the store to bind her wrists, arms, legs, and ankles. As Dinah let herself be bound, she observed the nervous criminal closely - his hesitant movements, his growing confusion. She understood that she had not only tied her body but had tied the fate of this young man too. After a while, boredom began to seep in, accompanied by a surge of frustration at the absurdity of the situation. So, she decided to indulge in some light-hearted teasing. With each taunt, aimed subtly at his inexperience and clumsiness, she could see the boy getting increasingly irritated. Eventually, annoyed and desperate for some quiet, the young crook gagged her with his used sock and blindfolded her using her own fishnet stockings.
