Question: Write a POV transformation story of the average male human reader turning into a male mermaid complete with a mermaid's necklace, a fish tail (instead of human legs), both gills and lungs, fish-like fins instead of ears, thin and lean yet athletic body, handsome and ethereal-looking face, no facial hair on the lower half of his face (he keeps his eyelashes and eyebrows however), pale skin, beautifully-colored irises in his eyes, and long hair complete with age change, supernatural powers gain (including but not limited to being immortal and forever youthful, as well as being able to swim with his newfound tail effortlessly), language shift (changing from English to an mermaid's language, yet the reader now completely understood this new language whilst no longer remembering English), reality change (the reader's real world warping and becoming the fantasy medieval world filled with mythical creatures, more specifically, in an ocean since he's a mermaid now), and mind/mental change (with the reader's personality and memories replaced with an mermaid's personality and memories, despite his best efforts on fighting off the new memories and personality, making him completely forget about being a mortal human and only remember being an mermaid). The transformation is permanent (meaning it is forever) and is completely irreversible. The story is that the reader was visiting a museum containing very old books and other historical artifacts, where the reader finds a book that is all about medieval fantasy creatures, he then opens the book, causing the blinding light to engulf him and thus caused the whole transformation to occur. During the mental changes, the reader is truly terrified/horrified about losing his own memories and personality as a human (as well as completely forgetting his previous language, with English instantly changing to an mermaid's language during mid-sentence), so he tries to fight against the new memories and personality (even screaming for help from his family/friends, crying out in tears, as well as attempting to shake his head as an attempt to get rid of the emerging/invading elven memories/personality), but his mental fight is in vain, making him completely forget his mortal and mundane human life and he only remembers being a medieval-era mermaid (complete with a new name fitting for a mermaid, rather than an old human name he once remembered having), having remembered his training with his own trident, on war with sea witches, marriage to a mermaid woman, and himself being a mermaid. To aid in the now-mermaid reader's transforming mind, the mermaid elf from a nearby undersea kingdom (who caused the book to transport the reader into a medieval world and transformed into an mermaid himself) comes up to the reader and comforts him with a gentle hug, softly holding the transforming reader's hands, an affectionate true love's kiss, quietly singing an elven lullaby to the reader, and telling him to remember who he really is (an mermaid), making the reader realize that the mermaid woman comforting him is his caring, understanding, and loving wife (whom the mermaid reader truly loves, cares, and understands, having always known her), and the reader is genuinely happy to know that his previous human life was actually only a dream (he is completely unaware of ever being a mortal/human nor the transformation that had happened) and is happy that his life as an mermaid (he enjoys being with his mermaid wife, whom he married centuries ago) is his only true life. There should also be quotes from the characters in this story so we know what they're saying and what they're thinking. Not only that, but there should be quotes in mermaid's language (as well as the translations for those who don't know what those mermaid's words mean), even the reader's language shift during his panic, as well as the lyrics to the lullaby that the elf woman is quietly singing to the transforming reader, so we would know what lullaby the reader is hearing/listening to. Also, it is a POV reader story, so it should not be in an author's point of view (my, I, mine, etc), and it should be from the point of view of the reader (you, your, etc).
As you tread down the hallowed halls of the dusty museum, the scent of musk and old parchment tickles your nose. You catch a glimpse of a small, worn-out leather bound book that looks remarkably out of place amidst the other glamorous displays. You reach out to caress its edges; it's a compendium of medieval fantasy creatures. Intrigued, you crack the worn, leather spine and flip the pages, the air around you suddenly crackles with a charged intensity. Suddenly, a blinding light radiates from the old book, consuming your vision. The light is immersive, saturating your whole being. Suddenly, you begin to feel an unfamiliar sensation. Your legs start to feel heavy, like you're wading through water, only to find them molding and morphing into a sleek, powerful fish tail. A tickle on your neck blooms into full blown gills, and the mosaic of sounds in the museum dulls as your ears transform into fish-like fins. Your lungs feel liberated, able to breathe in both air and water freely. Your body shivers, muscles elongating and sinews strengthening, casting an otherworldly grace on your once average appearance. Your face moulds and sculpts, any signs of facial hair vanish, leaving your visage ethereal and enchanting. Your eyes change, the irises taking on colors so mesmerizing, they rival the sea's most beautiful coral reefs. Hair cascades down your shoulders, rivalling the moon's silken rays. A mermaid's necklace materializes around your neck, a testament of your new existence. Your heart thunders in your chest as your reality warps around you. A guttural cry for help leaves your mouth, only to transform into an alien language mid-sentence. Alien words and phrases spill from your lips in your voice of panic. The museum dissolves, replaced by the vast expanse of an ocean, teeming with magical creatures and mythical kingdoms. Memories of your mundane human life collide with those of a mermaid. Visions of wielding a trident, warring with sea witches, and a tender, loving marriage with a merman cloud your mind. As you desperately try to ward off the new thoughts, a soft voice pierces through the disarray. "Lasário na ùir, breótha agad," (Be calm, my love) it says, a loving hand gently tracing your fear-stricken face. The voice lulls you, leading you towards acceptance, towards understanding the strange language filtering your thoughts. The mermaid coming towards you is a familiar face, comforting and calming. Silently, you accept her tender hug and allow her to guide you towards your newfound reality. She kisses you deeply, and instantly, the last flickering memories of your human existence fade away. She begins to sing a lullaby, her voice a soothing melody in the alien language. "Iùil mise iuradh, 'Sè aghaidh dhìot fhìn" (I lead you home, to your true self), her haunting melody soothes your mind. In the depths of the oceans, as you swim effortlessly with your newfound abilities, a new name bubbles to the surface of your mind, erasing any trace of your human existence. With a heart singing a tune to her love, you finally realize her. Your wife. The one you had bound yourself to for centuries. The realization brings a strange sense of peace. As her melodies lull you further, your heart settles with the truth. The human life was a dream, your true self is this: a mermaid, an eternal, beautiful creature of the sea, devoted to his beloved wife. Your panic fades, and with a serene smile, you reach out to your wife, certain of your love, certain of your new life. Diving deeper into the depths with her, you leave behind your human past, knowing you'll forever embrace your mermaid present.
