Becoming a Female Migrant Hawker Dragonfly

Slowly, you feel a peculiar sensation wrapping around you, delicate and tender, like a cool breeze drifting across your skin. The weight of your body feels different, a strange lightness that wasn’t there before, but you can't quite put your finger on it. You gingerly touch your face, but instead of skin, you feel something hard, something alien, yet somehow familiar. Upon looking into a nearby mirror, you stare in astonishment and trepidation. And as this happens, you notice the entirety of your body structuring into segments, corresponding with the anatomy of... a dragonfly. You flutter in the mirror, and as you move, you notice your body waving about, dancing like a streak of color in the air. Your limbs, now wings, flicker as you try to control them subconsciously. It's unusual, bizarre even, but over time, it seems to come as naturally to you as breathing. A change in your vision follows the major changes in your body. A sharp clarity spreads across your line of sight as your eyes grow exponentially, wrapping around most of your head. You can see the colors more vividly, the details more deeply. It's overwhelming but fascinating. A majesty of nature you only read about is now yours to experience. One thing that you're not prepared for is the mental shift. Suddenly, human concepts, memories, everything that used to matter to you, fade into the background. You find yourself disorientated; unable to hold on to the values, notions, memories, and ideas of your past life. All you feel now, all you think about, is survival, flight, and the propagation of your kind. You fly to the window, effortlessly flitting in the air. As you leave behind the confines of your old life, you feel a sense of liberation you never thought possible. What at first seemed terrifying, feels invigorating now. Watching the world now is like viewing an elaborate painting, unfolding rush of colors and life below you. Gazing at this panorama, you realize the transformation is a reminder of one of the purest truths of life. Change, however daunting at first, can lead to a whole new world of experiences - some beautiful, some challenging, but all, ultimately, enriching. As a migrant hawker, you realize you've become a part of life's grand tapestry in a way you never dreamed possible.
