Once upon a time in sunny California lived an energetic 11-year-old named Emily. With a head full of auburn curls and a personality as bright as her smile, Emily was a delightful child as full of enthusiasm as she was of questions. After a sleepover at her 47-year-old Aunt Sharon's house, Emily was getting ready for a day of adventure with her friends. As Emily was leaving, Sharon said hopefully, "I'm like hip and all that," resulting in a facepalm from Emily. "STOP IT AUNT SHARON! You're using all those words and phrases wrong!" she cried. Later, just before she was about to leave, Sharon called her into the living room. With a strange gleam in her eyes, Sharon yanked off Emily's shoes and replaced them with her own platform sandals. Taken aback, Emily asked, "What are you doing, Aunt Sharon?" Rather than responding, Sharon just carried on. As the sandals hugged Emily’s feet, a peculiar transformation began. Emily's feet grew larger, older, mirroring Sharon's. Her outfit suddenly morphed into knee-length jeans, a sophisticated blouse and a small blazer. Eerily, even her accessories adjusted, as a small fedora appeared on her head and large gold hoop earrings found their home in her ears. Emily looked into the mirror and was shocked by her reflection. She looked like a miniaturized version of Aunt Sharon. As she tried to recollect her memories, the only ones that returned were surprisingly Sharon's. "How do you feel now?" the original Sharon asked, trying to suppress a smile. Emily strained a smile, and her voice sounded more like Sharon's as she said, "I feel like totes down to hashtag live life, lol." The original Sharon beamed at her victory, now having a partner in fashion crimes and outdated jargon. She pointed her phone at mini-Sharon and said, "Pose for the camera!" Emily, embodying her Aunt Sharon persona, found herself raising a peace sign and replied, "Oh, let me do the peace sign like a little troublemaker," as she chuckled. Thus, began the adventures of the two Sharons, who despite their age differences and regardless of what the world thought, found comfort, companionship, and an unusual bond that led to countless shared laughter, ‘hip slang’, and even a few lessons in staying young at heart.
