A Teenage Girl's First Day With Her Super Stretchy Neck

Once upon a time, in a sleepy, small suburban town, a sprightly teenage girl named Lily MacAulay abruptly woke up from a strange dream. Stretching her arms groggily, she gasped aloud, "Whoa.. that was a... Wait a minute!" Her astonishment was not on account of the dream, but her reflection in the mirror. Over the next few weeks, Lily struggled and experimented with her new power. She fumbled and tripped, often causing comical situations. She used it to sneak peeks into high bookshelves, lift fallen objects, and occasionally startle her friends. One day, amidst an attempt at multi-tasking - talking to her best friend, Daisy, on the phone while trying to reach a cookie jar on the top shelf - she said, "Daisy, I don't know if I'm cut out for this!" Reassuring her, Daisy answered, "Every superhero has to start somewhere, Lily. They didn't all start out being perfect." Encouraged by these words, Lily kept training herself. In the middle of an intense training session, she thought, "What if my neck gets cut while stretching?" So, she took a kitchen knife and carefully grazed it against her stretchy neck.
