Once there was a college girl named Moira. Moira looked like your average college girl, but she was anything but. In fact, she was a dullahan, a mythical creature who can detach her head from her body. Though she had long since learned to maintain her ‘head-to-body’ coordination, she always had a fear of losing control when distracted. One of her human friends, Sasha, invited her to a college party. Moira was nervous. She had this peculiar fear that if she got too caught up in the party mood, she might actually mix up her dullahan abilities. But, with some convincing by Sasha, she agreed to go. As the party started, the vibrant music began to fill up the rooms. Moira couldn’t help but get caught up in it. She started to dance, her body moving completely in rhythm with the beating music. Suddenly, she felt a chilling sense of separation. Everyone gasped as her head took a tumble from her body, landing safely on a nearby couch. She could see her body still dancing, twirling, and swaying to the booming music. "Oi! Body! Stop messing around!" Moira shrieked, the shouting coming from her disembodied head. Her words went unnoticed in the loud music. Before she could figure out her next move, a group of drunk party-goers thought it was a brilliant idea to start tossing around her head like a basketball. "No, no! Not cool, people!" Moira yelled as she was tossed around. Just near the dance floor, Sasha saw Moira's head in disarray. She wanted to get Moira's body but found it lost in the crowd of dancing bodies. "Hey, bodyless bumps!" Sasha shouted, trying to get the attention of those tossing Moira's head around. "Your body is looking for you!" Once they heard Sasha's statement, they all turned their attention to the still-dancing body. Surprised, they stopped the dangerous game and gave Sasha Moira's head. As Sasha held Moira's head, she dodged the dancing partygoers and yelled at the body, "Moira! Calm down and remember you're a headless now!" Finally, through all the chaos, the body stilled, frantically looking around. Sensing its head, it stumbled towards Sasha. Sasha, with a sigh of relief, made sure to place Moira's head right where it belonged. "Oh, thank the spirits," Moira breathed, patting her neck to make sure her head was properly attached. Sasha could only laugh, "Moira, next time, let's stick to karaoke night, alright?" Moira agreed, this was a party she'd never forget. From then on, she was always careful with her dullahan powers, making sure she’d never relive the night her body decided to lose its head.
