"Yes, Constance, that’s my name proving that I’m old enough!" 242. She returns home. 243. "Emily, help bring in the groceries!" she yells. 244. "No snacks until after dinner!" she clarifies. 245. "Ask permission before touching them!" 246. "If I catch you sneakin' them, you'll be grounded or worse." 247. "And by worse, I mean no TV for a month!" 248. She pours herself a glass of Jack Daniel’s. 249. "Ah, nothing like Jack," she says happily, settling on the couch. 250. She thinks back to when Emily’s friend annoyed her. 251. "That boy got on my nerves." 252. "Chased me to my room," she recalls, ranting. 253. "Intrusive, wouldn't leave me alone." 254. She tries to remember him following but can’t place it. 255. That night, she admires herself. 256. "Great looks and great handling, Connie," she mutters. 257. Emily knocks on the door. 258. "Get lost," Connie says, not wanting to deal with her. 259. The next morning, she wears a similar outfit. 260. She leaves without telling Emily, who sneaks a snack just as Connie gets home, hands on her hips.
